A book about a young woman who comes home because her father is in a coma with chapters thrown in from the tortoise's point of view that she has left behind. From the start I felt like I had dropped in the middle of a conversation where no one tells you what it's about and you end up playing catch up. I wish I could've connected more with the main character but she was slightly out of reach and things were never fully explained. While reading I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not but the writing kept me engaged. In the end, I'm glad I kept reading. Very odd and quirky.
